An initial facility review was completed in 1993 to identify appropriate restoration methods for the 1889 church structure that would meet the guidelines of the National Register for Historic Places. Extensive deterioration of brick, stone and copper building elements had begun to affect the structural integrity of the steeple structure. The restoration work was completed in three phases based on the financial resources of the congregation.

1995 - Phase I – Steeple and Main Entrance Elevation Brick and stone restoration – Wood steeple frame restoration – Roof decking and slate shingle installation – Restoration and replacement of ornamental copper fabrications – Interior steeple platform restoration and ladder access.

1998 - Phase II – Lower Slate Shingle Replacement New slate shingle installation on main body of church building – Installation of copper flashings and gutter systems.

2001 - Phase III – Masonry Restoration and Exterior Window Frame Restoration – Brick and stone restoration and replacement on main body of church – Repair and repainting of the exterior wood window frames – Installation of new storm plating over all stained glass windows.
