RESTORATION

The Journal-Gazette Building

Fort Wayne, IN

BACK                  NEXT

This project consists of a restoration and adaptive reuse of an historic building located in downtown Fort Wayne. This building was built on the foundations and basement of the original building site, which was constructed circa 1908. Rehabilitation encompassed restoring architectural detailing and spatial qualities, as well as bringing the building up to present building and fire codes. Commercial or retail space will be available on the ground floor and leased office spaces on the upper two floors. The ground level consists of a two-story open space to the north and an enclosed mezzanine floor in the three south bays. A new open atrium space covered with skylights to the roof connects all floors.
