The expansion and renovation of Parkview Memorial Hospital
provides a unique approach to Emergency Care. The new unit
is designed to accommodate three separate levels of patient
care. The Critical Care Unit provides the highest level of
care to trauma and cardiac patients in two trauma rooms and twelve
monitored patient beds. The standard emergency room provides
care to ambulatory patients. The unit contains rooms for
general treatment and exam as well as specialized rooms for
orthopaedic, pelvic, ear, nose and throat and suturing. The
"Fast Track" Emergency Room i s dedicated to minor
injuries which require less care and staff resources. Xray
and cast rooms are adjacent to all areas to provide commonality of
service. This project is part of a 50,000 square foot
renovation which included the surgery suites. |
