emergency and trauma services as well as a 12-hour “fast track”
area.
The new
Emergency Department includes an expanded triage area from which
patients will be taken to one of the 15 emergency care rooms,
one of six fast track rooms, or one of four observation rooms,
depending on the level of care needed. Exam rooms have been
specifically designed for OB/GYN, ENT and orthopedic cases, as
well as for other specific patient needs.
A 64-channel
CT scanner housed in the new Emergency Department makes
state-of-the-art imaging faster for efficient, more accurate
diagnosis.
